Massey Dacta
“The Massey Ferguson Tractor is ingrained in rural New Zealand history. As kids, the farm was all about that big red tractor, the name was such a mouthful that from our earliest memories, it was known as the Massey Dacta”
Massey Dacta is a Marlborough wine label with genuine roots and a good dose of personality. Created by the Glover family on their fourth-generation farm, the name comes from their old Massey Ferguson tractor — famously pronounced “Massey Dacta” by the kids. That mix of heritage and humour shapes the brand today: quality wines made by people who know their land and don’t take themselves too seriously.
Led by respected winemaker Ben Glover, Massey Dacta focuses on bright, expressive, sustainably grown Marlborough fruit. The wines are fresh, balanced, and instantly enjoyable — the kind of bottles that over-deliver on the table and keep customers coming back. Honest, energetic, and unmistakably New Zealand.

The Glover Family’s vineyard is located in the Dillons Point sub-region, of Marlborough. Only 3km from the sea, along the banks of the Opaoa River. The soils are fertile, Kaiapoi silt loam. But more importantly, is the whitebait running past the front door along with crayfish and paua a short ride on the Massey Ferguson 135 tractor down the road.
The vineyard is planted with Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Riesling and Pinot Noir. These are perfect wines to match to food we are lucky enough to forage from our farm surrounds.
