Artisan Reserve Pinot Noir

Our top ‘Shaky Bridge’ single-vineyard, barrel-selected Pinot Noir.  Awarded Double Gold and the New Zealand International Wine Show.

Tasting Notes:
It’s elegantly styled and composed, showing dark cherry, crushed raspberry, sweet Doris plum with assorted nuts, and floral characters on the nose with complementing spice and savoury complexity. The palate is equally satisfying with an excellent concentration of flavour, brilliantly framed by high quality polished tannins, making it wonderfully harmonious and engaging.

Winemaking Notes:
Ripe hand-harvested Pinot Noir grapes are gently crushed and destemmed into a stainless steel vessel. Gently extracted primarily by pump-over to preserve its delicate aromatics and polished fine-grained tannin. Gently pressed, and aged in all french-oak barrels with 1/3
new. A selection of the best barrels for the final blend to ensure a pinnacle expression of the vintage and this ‘Grand Cru’ site.
