Massey Dacta Chardonnay 2023

A vibrant and modern Marlborough Chardonnay crafted with Ben Glover’s signature light touch. Aromas of white peach, nectarine and citrus blossom lead into a finely textured palate layered with stonefruit, subtle oak spice and a hint of hazelnut. Fresh, balanced acidity keeps the wine lively, while gentle lees work adds depth and creaminess without heaviness.

Vintage: The 2024 Marlborough summer was one that provided some farming challenges, but not due to any issues with the tractor. The Dacta just soldiered on through the season of a particularly hard spring frost followed by intermittent rain events through the season that kept us on our toes.

2024 Model: with the colour of fresh straw just cut and raked, this Massey Dacta Chardonnay shows grapefuit pith. French oak spice, brazil nuts, some popping corn and bright citrus zest. This is carried through to the palate with lemon and white peach texture, mealiness, spice with a long finish – clean and textured with a generaous almost savoury mouthfeel. There is plenty of flavour and a finish that is both rewarding and refreshing. Super stuff!
